Re: New unbelievable mast raising system

4 years later but I just stumbled upon this. I'm going to build one of those. That's much better than my wife attempting to use the mainsheet to pull it up and me heaving on the mast.

Re: inspection

No one ever answered you, did you ever come up with a way to test it to confirm it wasn't compromised in some way? Would be curious to hear what you did.

Re: Deck/Hull joints?

Both are actually on the starboard side, although I did find a few spots on the other side that were somewhat problematic. I would say they appeared about 1/3 and 2/3s of the way.

Re: Deck/Hull joints?

Hey Gary, When I took my toe rails off, I found two spots where the deck actually sat behind the hull. I took my dremel and worked those spots back on the decking until they were flush with the vertical hull. My plan is to now sand the deck about an inch inwards, only where I absolutely need to, and...

Re: Repair help - 22'

Not to bad at all. The port side wasn't leaking and took more work to peel them off but the starboard side which was leaking just popped right off as I was going along taking out the screws

Re: Repair help - 22'

So I've pulled the toe rails off and inspected the hull/deck joint and I can tell there are some issues. The lip on the deck is crushed in spots and doesn't overlap. Guess I may have to try to do some fiberglass work this year... the toe rails had unsealed from the deck allowing water to pass down i...

Performance

Hey folks I've owned my boat for just over a year and have had a full sailing season and about a half. There's no clubs where I sail but I may join a nearby one and trailer there for weekends. This year I spent time trying to track the performance of the boat to see what it can do. I generally ran m...

Re: Repair help - 22'

Ahh the windows may make sense. I know the previous owner struggled a bit with them. I think I'm going open that area right up with 2 or 3 holes with removable covers and force some air through and reseal those windows to see if that won't stop the leaking.

Repair help - 22'

Hey folks, Just joined the forum and thought maybe I could get some help or perspective on a few things. I noticed my boat was sitting a little cockeyed in the water. The starboard side sits a little lower than the port side. I also keep getting water in my starboard storage compartment at the front...
