Re: C-20 leaky trunk

astrorad2000 has keel bolt repair videos on YouTube for the 22. Not sure if it applies to the 20. Might be a place to start.

Lake Superior

Anyone here keep their boat on the west end of Lake Superior? We decided to get the boat off of the trailer next year and keep it in a slip at Barker’s Island Marina. Just curious if anyone else was in that neighborhood. (We did see one Chrysler 22 tied up when we walked through on Sunday)

Re: What bodies of water do you sail?

I think I have a line on a boat slip on Leech Lake in norther MN for next season. I won’t get a for sure answer until fall when the deposits are due for next year.

C22 Stern rail

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy the stern rail that wraps around the back of the C22? We have the narrow one and have dropped the mast off of the side of it a few times while getting ready to raise it.

A good learning experience

We took our C22 out for the 2nd time yesterday. We had a ton of fun. 5-10 mph wind was pretty steady. It got a little gusty toward the end and we got to experience heeling for the first time. Hard to say how fast we got going but it seemed to be just as fast as the 8 hp Nissan would move us. Of cour...

Re: Getting her wet for the first time

I think I’m going to wait on Superior. We aren’t far from Lake Minoqua. It’s a decent sized lake with a big paved boat ramp. My goal is the get it rigged and in the water so I can test everything out before we get into bigger water. Nice to see that you had the whole family sailing. I’ve got 2 teena...

Getting her wet for the first time

I bought a C22 a little over a month ago. I’ve raised and lowered the mast while on the trailer. Replaced all of the running rigging. Tomorrow evening we are headed for Mercer WI for a 4 day weekend. I spent a good amount of time tonight strapping the mast down, running the outboard, and getting her...

Re: Any advice on raising the mast for the first time?

I did get my mast up. I used ratchet straps instead of the jib sheet to attach the bridals to the mast and boom. The standing rigging seems to be in really good shape. The more I handle the lines I’m starting to realize that the running rigging should be replaced before I put this thing in the water...

Any advice on raising the mast for the first time?

boat.png Bought this beauty almost 2 weeks ago. I've been really nervous about getting the mast up for the first time and going over all of the rigging. I was told by the seller that it is ready to sail, and from what I can tell with the mast laying down, everything seems to be there and in decent ...

Re: Rudder

I bought a C22 over the weekend. I went to put my outboard on the mount and it looks like the rudder will interfere with the motor when the rudder is raised. Should the motor mount be moved off to one side?
