Hi Bob,
Thanks for the reply. Your experience is a wealth of knowledge. It is appreciated. I still have lots of planning to do. It's a big project but these boats are a pleasure. Thinking about using nylon washers to take up the gap. I'll post any progress when the work begins.

Keel pin bracket design
I have a C 22 and am about to replace my keel pin brackets. I see two versions in drawings and pictures. One shows the inside edge of the the 3/8 inch plate flush with only the pin itself extending where the keel rides. The other design shows the 1 1/4 inch round rod that holds the pin extending thr...

Do you still have your boat? I may be interested depending on how much work in needed and coordinating the transport. I live just west of ATL near Dallas.

Anchor technique discovered
After camping for 12 days on Lake Allatoona I needed to find an easy way to anchor the boat deep enough to save the bottom from a beating when the wakes tossed her about but wanted access to board and unload. Here is my solution. It worked great. I put a dock bumper on the anchor line and had a moor...

Thanks reality, those were my thoughts also. The lake, Allatoona is only 25 miles away but don't like the idea of the winch/pin holding that weight. I just cringe at the sight of potholes. The boat handles like abeauty at first the listing wakes you up but then like boost the forward motion kicks on...

Keel position when trailering
Just bought a 22 Chrysler. It came with the original trailer which is a perfect fit. My question is should I lower the keel to ride in the cradle on the trailer while towing? Or should I let the winch hold the weight with the keel up in trunk?
Thanks for any advice.

Auto braking keel winch
Added missing question "While trailering is it best to lower swing keel onto trailer or ride with the winch cable holding the load?" Now after 3 years experience it's a no brainer. But just discovered my keel pin bracket condition I wonder if bangs from the road aren't knocking my rust loo...
