Man O' War Rudder Pivoting Issues

Hello all, I have a question about the Man O'War rudder pivoting and staying in place. The owner's manual states: "To lift the rudder blade for beaching, simply pull up on the tiller and pull forward, engaging the stop on the tiller to its fitting on the rear deck to hold the rudder blade up pe...

Thank you everyone for the advice. I will make a new post in the rudder section to see if anyone can provide some insight into the rudder pivoting and staying in place!
Thanks again,
Clint

Thank you Scott.
I think that I always need to have the sail open and attached to the boom before boarding, but sometimes there is so much wind, the Man O'War is pushed into shore before I can get adjusted. You are right that I need to practice more!
Thank you for the message,
Clint

Trouble single handedly launching Man O' War from lake edge

Hello all, I was hoping for a bit of advice on launching my Man O'War from the edge of a lake single handedly. I often sail across a lake, roll up the sail and explore a bit. Today, when I wanted to return to the car, I tried to launch the boat from the shore into a strong headwind. I stood in the w...

New Man of War owner needs some advice ! Thank you !

Hello fellow sailors ! I just purchased a 1974 Man of War and took it out single handed in 15 mph winds. It promptly capsized 10 times in a row ! Fun, yet I realized quickly that I weigh about 135 lbs wet and that is not enough to keep her flat and me dry... I see in the owners manual that you have ...
