Thanks Capt Scott, I've moved to Big Spring, TX (west texas) Lake Nazworthy in San Angelo is 87 miles away. I noticed on the roster that one of our members is from San Angelo, TX.

Buccaneers

This is the lake that I hope to sail on this summer. Lake Pleasant is about 70 miles south, just right for a trailer pull with the Captain of INSTEAD.

PNM

I'm begining to contract the early symptions of PNM. I'm sure that those symptions will increase this spring when I sail on INSTEAD, the C-20 that lives 1/2 mile from me. COME ON PNM!!

A good Instructional book

Since I haven't sailed in years, I have to do my sailing through books. This winter I've been reading INVATION TO SAILING by Alan Brown. It is a great book to relearn the basic sailing skills I learned 30 years ago. Besides the basic instructions, it has practical exercises to actually use those pri...

Freeride

Hi Tim,
Freeride looks beautiful. She looks solid and tight, just needs some cleaning and stowing.
This opinion comes from a total novice, so take it with a grain of salt.

What to do

Now would be a good time to think about the box and wires again. Mounting it under the companionway would be a convienent place to put it.

C-20

I know I should find a better thread to talk on, but this is just to much fun. INSTEAD has a full complament of sails; Main, jib, Genowa and Spinaker. The owner has done some woodwork recently. I'll be a good crew for this summer!

Getting excited for Spring!

C-20

I spoke to the owner of the C-20 I've been talking about. It is a 1974 C-20 christened "INSTEAD". We had a wonderful conversation, just as we did years ago, and decided to Go Sailing this spring. He has had her in the water at Lake Plesant and Roosevelt Resivoir. Lake Plesant is the better since it ...

C-20

Thanks for the replies. This sounds like the perfect boat for me. In a nut shell, I crewed on an O'Day Lightning for a summer in 1982 on Green Bay (Green Bay, Wis). I fell in love with sailing but was never able to continue. Now, 30+ yearsw later, I'm retired, but on dry land. There are nice inland ...

Happy New Year

I am Bruce Jaeger. I just joined the Forum. I have a neighbor who owns a C-20, and the bottom hasn't been wet for years. I'm thinking of making contact with him again and see if he might sell her to me. Closest sailing water is 85 miles south at Lake Pleseant, AZ. What do you all think? Happy New ye...
