Former Chrysler Sailor, with Knowledge to Share
Greetings All, It's been awhile since I've been on here, as we no longer have our 77 Chrysler 22 (The Tigon). A few years back, we moved to a tiny island in the Puget Sound and moved up to a 1979 Newport 30! That said, my blog www.SailingPugetSound.net is mainly dedicated to our time with The Tigon....

1977 Chrysler 22 ::: FOR SALE ::: MAKE OFFER
The time has come for us to move up, and The Tigon is in the best shape she has been in 20 years! All work we've done to her is documented on our blog at SailingPugetSound.net :-) Our requirement is that, if interested, you read through the articles to understand her current state, and make us a fai...

Just Returned from An Epic Adventure to The San Juan Islands
Hey there guys and gals! Its been a while since I last posted in here, as I've been too busy sailing :) That IS what its about, right?! My wife, Reth, and I sailed from Olympia(WA) to Orcas Island up in the San Juans, and back. The Tigon was a champ, thanks to my extensive restoration over the past ...

TRAILER WANTED, TO BUY, OR USE FOR LAUNCH
Greetings! I have finished a year and a half restore(mostly in the last 4 months) on The Tigon. I've had no luck finding a trailer. I am willing to buy one. That is appearing difficult, so I would be willing to compensate for the one-time use of one as well. I am in Washington State, at the southern...

Here's my update on the keel bracket
Scott, I'm looking at the second week of June for launch. After waiting 3 weeks for the keel bracket to be made, I discovered that it was never actually being made. I've cut out my middle man and taken the specs and pictures to a fabricator I've done business with before. They have a 2 week workload...

Thanks for a reply
Captain Scott, Well,... that Mothers Day launch didn't happen. I plan to leave her in the water til at least October. We have a slip at Boston Harbor Marina, here in Olympia. The boat currently sits at my grandparents house, on boat stands. Any help is appreciated, as I've YET to track down a traile...

Looking for a trailer to use Sunday(Mothers Day)
Hey Gentlemen! We have finished with our restore of The Tigon and were planning for a Mother's Day launch. The trailer we had lined up, fell through. Does anyone in the Puget Sound area have, or know of, a trailer that will haul our C22??? We live in Olympia and are willing to travel to pick the tra...

B918fvc... I do know that that $1000.00 estimate seems VERY high. I am having mine keel pin bracket fabricated from scratch currently, here in Olympia, WA. I was quoted appx. $500.00 by a couple of places. I'm blessed to have a really good connection that is giving me a smoking deal on my set though...

Thank you, Guys! Exactly what I was looking for. I will leave the holes open. I found some neat and cheap vent covers for them. I'll just clean that locker out good with simple green and then bilgekote the entire area. I'll 5200 the vent covers in. As for the bilge pump, that's the area I was thinki...

Electric Bilge Pump Placement
Greetings Gents,... While I've got Coreth on the dry for repairs(not for much longer though), I am adding an electric bilge pump. I'm curious where the lowpoint will be when she's back in the water. Should I wait to find out & then attack the project, or does anyone have a suggestion? Also, the ...

Welcome Aboard!!!
Hey Tim!!! Great having another restoration going on. I, too, am currently doing a near complete restoration, to include the keel pin, bracket, and that entire area. I took the before mentioned drawing to my local fabricator and should have it all back shortly. I do my best to document my progress v...

In reply & In addition
Capt. Bondo: My pop up enclosure is actually in very good condition. Also, the wrap around windshield is also rather decent. Female end of most snaps need replaced, probably inexpensive. I already replaced the male ends on the deck & pop top. Just really looking for resources mostly, in all area...

I'm curious. How do I go about finding a new set of the windows for the pop top?? Do I need to have the custom made, like nearly everything else?

Welcome aboard!!!
Tim, I am in the middle of a restoration myself. I took the before mentioned drawings to my fabrication guy a couple months back and he is creating them for me. I let him do it at his leisure over the winter months and it saves me a few bucks. From all the research I did, this is the only way to obt...
