Thanks EE! I will actually be in your neck of the woods this week enjoying some of the warm weather (while working). If you are heading out and need a deck hand, I am always ready and willing!

Howdy Boys

Hello All! I have been off the site for quite a long time due to a crazy work/travel schedule. I have enjoyed catching up on the posts that I have missed. Glad to see you are all well. It finally looks like we might get a summer here in the upper Great Lakes. Andante is all but ready to be splashed ...

You touch on a good point EE. I feel it is a good idea to keep a decent supply of baking soda on board incase of battery acid spillage. Quite the picture you have there. Glad no one was hurt.

Not meaning to beat a dead horse, but it has been a while since I was on here and I feel I should chime in on this one. Scott makes a very good point about the handling in reverse with a offset outboard and a stern mounted rudder. This is the config on my S27 and she is very squirrely in reverse at ...

We use the West Marine 35 offshore with the built in harness. Good for tying into a jack line in rough weather or at night. $30 bucks a recharge. We did a demo a couple of weeks back with me swan diving off the bow pulpit with one on. Fun and functional.

I think a little west system epoxy would go a long way on that. It is available at most marine stores. There are some good videos available on your tube giving a good idea of how it works.

The made for alot of squished bugs to clean up the next morning. YUCK! BTW: bug spray seemed to have litt...

Spring is in full swing here. Just working hard everyday to get ready for the season. Took a trip up the mast on Sunday to free a fouled main halyard. Took down the wind transducer because it was stuck. Signet wanted about $500 to refurbish it. I took it apart and found a bearing seized. I found a n...

You make good points there Scott. We pump ALOT of water out of these lakes, and we dump alot of crap in. I find it a shame what we do to such a beautiful and valuble resource.
