I don't understand, or maybe I do, I'm not sailing or or near the lake but there is warm water on my face and my heart feels good. Something wonderful must have just happened.
Happy for you and parents.

Trade 170% Genoa for Jib C26
My C26 did not come with a Jib I only have a 150% and a 170%.
I would like to trade straight across my 170% which is in good condition for a Jib . I get a little over powered from time to time and need an option.

acess to bilge C26
Millerton Lake is where I sail. The Marina has new owners and is rally first class. I have my boat in a slip there. The boat shop you mentioned was, in the 70s, a Chrysler dealer. My boat went a couple of miles straight to the marina and the marina hes been it's home since. I am thirty minutes from ...

Fixed keel vs swing keel
First off, I am sorry Ray, I did not welcome you aboard. Having just stepped aboard myself ,I am still overwhelmed and privileged to be in the company of such great and experienced sailors. Why do I feel I am back in high school? I know why, because this is where I will earn my degree in everything ...

Swing Keel vs fixed
Thank you all. My boat has always been in fresh water in a Marina. I dived under her this summer and everything looks almost new. I was really amazed. We cleaned the bottom of algae and she looks great. The hull has a relatively fresh coating and everything down there looks clean as a whistle.

Fixed keel vs Swing keel
Alan and fellow sailors. What could I expect to happen to my C26 in the event the swing keel pin broke or even the cable? Starting to loose sleep.

Thanks Mario, I have seen your pics and set up . It would seem that you have a deeper bilge area with your fixed keel. I have decided that the amount of water that is collected is not that great but I am uncomfortable waiting for the water to show in the stern area. the water has to reach that level ...

access to bilge
I got it, Only thing is the boat is in a fresh water slip. No trailer . My objective is to stay ahead of when it becomes an issue. If I can just peak below the floor and pump when needed then I am ahead of the game . I am thinking of two holes the size of a bilge pump and boom out she goes. Am I ...

Access to bilge 1978 C26
Thanks, first of all to everyone that has contributed so much information about C26. I have seen some dramatic pictures John and others have shown of the bilge onC26. My boat gets a little, but maybe not, after storms. The west coats has been wet as of late. the bilge is always dry in summer ...

Thanks mates, I now have a pretty god idea of what to expect when I get down there. I have a 1978 model that I am restoring and I love her. She has been sitting in fresh water marina for some years but she is back to life now. I took her out the other day with new motor and a shake down plan. I had ...

Rudder rope replacement on C26 while in the water.
Hello everyone, I'm brand new today and really appreciate all the information and experience you offer. My C26 rudder will need a set of new ropes soon but I can't get it out of the water. the water is clear and I can get it to shore, retractable keel. Has anyone had to do this? Any input on the ...
