No need to preflex the lumber, the boat will do that. I replaced them on my C26 trailer with no issues. Just bolt to the risers and add carpet.

Place my Hummingbird transducer below the aft bilge plywood of my C26. Absolutely no issues (other then forgetting to turn it ON in shallow water).

My wife routinely winches up the keel in Windwalker. There is a "grab " initially, I assume a friction fit when the keel is down, and then there is only moderate tension until the keel is up. She is not a physically strong woman.

I use the larks head to tie a 30" 3/8" line to the clew of the head sail, leaving about two 15" tails. I use the two tails to tie a double sheet bend to a bight in the center of the jib sheet. Easy to change head sails, no metal flopping at the end of the sail.
