Finaly home from the desert going to work on my maststep

Well I got home last night and this morning we went out to the boat to clean it up and inventory the work that we want to accomplish this week. We are going to start by fixing the mast step that I broke last time I tried to bring the mast down. There are pictures below with the broken step. I went t...

looking for a place to buy rope online

Hope everyone made it through the storm.
Any recommendations for places to buy rope? I live in Charleston so I have a west marine but I have found some 5/16 with a 3800 lb tensile strength on ebay for around 40 cents a foot. Anyone know about other distributers?

Electric quesiton

I am going to get started on a small electrical project on the boat, by small I mean a complete replacement of what is there. The system looks like it was patched together by the PO and I think it would be easier to just start over. I have looked at a lot of the posts from other members and have got...

Latest projects

I am coming up with a list of projects for my 22. I am currently deployed and get a few weeks off when I get back, was going to spend a part of them working on the boat. I need to replace the mast step. We had a bit of a problem last time we brought down the mast. So that project is a must. I have a...

Trailer

We have a 22ft Chrysler and just relocated to South Carolina. I bought the boat in Oklahoma so it has a blue painted trailer I have been using in the lakes up there. How quickly do I need to worry about getting a new galvanized trailer? How much should they cost? Any good places to buy in the area? ...

I don't think it is for a flag. It is tied at the top with no way to run the flag up the mast. On that note has anyone put a flag on their mast? What area is the best to install one? On the back? On the mast? Thanks

I have one but it is worn out. The adjuster is smoth so it is hard to turn i guess once i get it set i can just leave it but i figured for $39 it might be nice to have a new one. I was looking online and it says something about swage connections. I dont know if you need a special tool for that or not

Need to tighten my life lines

I went over to the storage unit today to take stock in the work that i need to do on our new boat. One of the little things that i noticed is that the life lines need to be tightened. However, there doesnt seem to be any room left on the turnbuckle. can i cut the cable to shorten it and just re-atta...
