I played around with injecting a few different things in my soft deck. I first used thinned epoxy to try and give some structure to what was damaged. After I did that I drilled a series of holes about 3 inch apart across the whole section and injected in caned foam. Not the window foam but the other...

Glad you made it back in safely. I also think you did the best thing a father can for his daughter, you showed her the life of living with what you need and not what you want. I think she will be much happier in the keys living on a boat then having to live in the rat race. If things get much worse ...

I got pulled over two times pulling my c-26 back and I had a truck hd2500 pulling it. I think I would have been in jail if I had a smaller car. Maybe I am just unlucky or I look guilty? Hmm Crazy is not all bad. The guy with the small jeep trying to back his Triton in the water at the boat ramp was ...

From my experience the mast is heavier when it is in the process of crashing down due to a broken mast raising bridle. Can anyone here really raise the mast themselves by muscle and not by pushing it up? I must be a real wuss because I would not even attempt it and I like trying those types of things.

I started racing Honda XR's back when they were heavy. I was very happy when the KLX came out, that was the first real 4stroke that could be raced seriously. I did alot of R&D work for a cycle shop out of California. Nothing like free parts! I built a trainer RC plane. They tried to fly it mysel...

Looks like we all kind of falling into the same things. Growing up I raced dirtbikes in a series known as the GNCC. Did that for ALONG while, and actually held a national number 46 was the lowest, I went to college for a few years, then came back and got slower. Ended up with a 72. When I had kids I...

When Jeff and I went to the Cleveland Boat show they had a display for the plasiteak stuff. There seemed to be two types one for the inside and one for the outside. They both looked good. The inside stuff looked way to slick but the stuff for the outside looked like it would work great for the cockp...

sewing machine + sunbrella + beer + snow = Bimini

Well I guess I can somewhat sew now. It is amazing what you can do when you have an older sewing machine, cold crappy snowy weather and beer. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y221/ronc185/bimini.jpg Not sure what I am going to make next. I need a tiller cover, and a hatch cover, perhaps some screen ...

winch size for c-26

I am going to replace the winch on my boat trailer because the older one has seen better days. It is a fulton 881. I have had zero luck finding what the capacity of this winch is? What is everyone else using for their trailer winch? I am going to loose the cable and replace that will a strap.

I will have patterns for all the cushions in my C-26 when I am done. I am redoing everything. However it will take a bit of time. This winter I am just working on the top part of my dodger bimini. I will also have a pattern for that.

For me the boat show made me like my C-26 that much more. Built like a tank and the finish work inside is better then some of the hunters they had there.

I think the largest Sailboat was a beanu 36 for around 180k. Very nice looking boat. The 1.2 Mill super cruiser was just simply gross!

Those pictures are amazing. I can not imagine the lake being that low other then if the dam collapsed. How long has your drought been going on?

I drove past that area a few years ago and was amazed at how low it was, Now it is almost empty.

WOW

My C-26 is SV Hope. I renamed mine when I refitted her last winter. It is a two part name, Since I did all the refitting in a store all in the dead of winter with crappy lights I "Hope" she looked good when she was in the light. The real meaning behind "Hope" was for my daughter ...
